A week in review

Ok, so it has been a light week over here at the Baroness. No posts. Bad blogger! But I’ve been BUSY. If you happen to follow me on instagram or facebook, you might have been keeping up with my shenanigans this week. Here’s an update for the rest of you.

paramount

On Monday, I worked what is the twice-a-year highlight of my job: Trader Joe’s Silent Movie Mondays at Seattle’s Paramount theatre. The theatre is GORGEOUS. Free wine. Silent films with a live accompaniment on Wurlitzer organ. Snacks. Free wine. Oh, and I got to be on stage to be the “raffle girl” announcing who won the grand prize of 6 pairs of VIP passes to anything at the Paramount. Um… Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, anyone?… That prize may or may not have been nabbed by yours truly (NOT, sadly).

tuesday

Tuesday I spent the day doing things for me. A healthy thrifting jaunt brought me some joy in the form of a pristine Hudson Bay blanket, a naugahyde ottoman on wheels, a brass watering can and some amazing vintage art. (I’m collecting so much, methinks an Etsy page must be in the works to help lighten my load and make space for more treasures — stay tuned for that.) I also visited the paint store to pick up samples of my 8 favorite blues for the dining room. I made giant paint chips out of foam core to try the colors out around the room. You might be surprised at how this all pans out…

Wednesday the newest webisode of Re-Energized by Design was released, and this time you can see what we did to the bathroom! Check out this post at Shelterrific detailing all the improvements we made to the space. I’m incredibly proud!

And that leads us up to now — the holiday weekend — and what looks to be a whole lot of sunshine and much-needed warmth for us here in the PNW! Expect to see more posts next week: a new recipe(!), the official reveal of our newly painted kitchen, and hopefully, much more!

  1. I did love the Bathroom make over!!!

I like how you write, you and Katie should both write.

    • Thanks, Aunt Joanne! I’d love it if I could write as my job all the time, but at least it’s great to have a creative outlet! Hugs to you and Uncle Mike.
